Monkey Boy

Jake is climbing on everything and getting into everything these days. His new name is Monkey Boy because we think he could climb and swing from the trees just like a monkey. Below, you can see his newest stunt. We are definitely keeping a closer eye on him now when he goes near the stairs.
Today, I found him in the pantry. He took all of the Propel water bottles of off this shelf so he could sit on it. At least he put all the bottles back when he was done playing.

Trip to the Zoo

We took Jake to the zoo on Thursday night. They are open a little later and have Jazz concerts on most Thursdays in the summer. Jake got to ride the choo-choo train for the first time. He seemed to like it, but didn't really want to sit still.

Jake liked this big dome shaped window in the aquarium. He could climb right in and watch the fish.

Jake was more interested in splashing the water, so we didn't get to pet a shark.

The polar bear climbed onto this rock just in time for a picture.

Iced Tea

Jake loves iced tea. Anytime he sees someone with it, he has to have some. We went to McAlister's the other night and they have great sweet tea. You can see here that Jake took over my cup.

Jake's First Camping Trip

We went camping this past weekend with Mamaw & Papaw at Amishville USA in Berne, IN. Despite 2 rainstorms, Jake still had a great time on his first camping adventure.

We visited Ouabache State Park near Bluffton. We finally got to test out Jake's new hiking backpack. We walked around the wildlife trail. Below, you can see the buffalo that we saw.

The campground had a petting zoo. This sheep came to visit Jake. He got to see sheep, goats, ponies, llama, chickens, & turkeys.

Water Water Everywhere

Jake loves to swim in his froggy pool. It's pretty small, but it will do. Too bad mommy got in the way in this picture - she was trying to wipe off some spaghettios.

Splish Splash

Jake likes to help water the flowers

He's been helping so much, he had to lose the shirt.

Helping? I think he got more water than the flowers.

Recent happenings...

Jake was having fun playing with the ice after Great Grandpa Gibson made some homemade ice cream. Notice the backwards hat - this is the only way he will wear his hat.

Great Grandma & Grandpa Gibson found this bike seat at a garage sale. Jake loves riding around the neighborhood in it.

Jake & Mommy - a rare picture of Jake sitting with me!

Such a big boy!

This is at the top of our staircase. Jake thinks he is really cool when he sits with his legs dangling.

Daddy's ice cream is so yummy!
