Mike, Jake, and Matt went camping in late July at Raccoon State Recreation Area. It was a hot weekend, but we had a blast!

Down and Out
We've had our share of medical adventures this past week. Jake had to have surgery to repair a hernia that he has apparently had since birth but was just discovered. He had his surgery at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. Everything went well and he is doing great now.
Melissa started having pains in her chest in late July and the doctors discovered that she was having gallbladder attacks. After a very bad attack on Monday night, the doctor decided it was time for surgery to remove her gallbladder. So, instead of reporting to the first day of school this year, she had surgery. She is still sore but healing well and should be back to herself soon.
Carson Update
Carson is about 3 1/2 months now and is much more active. He tries to talk a lot. He loves sitting on the floor and rolling from side to side. He should be able to roll over in no time because he can do it right now with a little bit of help. He is sitting up in his bumbo seat too. We have just started adding a little bit of rice cereal to his diet and he is starting to get the hang of that.
