Carson's 18 month Update & Belated Halloween Pics

We had Carson's check up a few weeks ago. He is doing great!  He was 33 3/8 inches and 28 lbs. 8 oz. which puts him into the 80th percentile.  He is very active these days.  He loves to get into everything in the kitchen - the freezer, the drawers (he knows which ones don't have locks), and climbing onto the kitchen table.  He has also figured out how to open doors, so we had to pull out the baby proof locks.

Markers...

We have learned that markers are not for Carson.  He frequently gets a hold of them to draw on his face.  He was alone for less than a minute today, and we found him eating a red marker...should we call poison control?

Fall 2011 Soccer Finale

Jake closed out his 2011 soccer season today.
He was very proud of the trophy he earned and can't wait to play again!

Monkeys

Jake attempted this feat on August 5, 2008 (17 months), and Carson succeeded today (16.5 months).  Looks like we have two monkeys in this house.

Soccer

Jake started in his first soccer league this fall.  We need some practice, but he seems to enjoy playing.  His team, the Mustangs, scored one goal in the first two games and scored seven goals today.  Jake scored his first goal in today's game (game 3).  Here are some pics from game 2.

Camping at Mounds State Park

We haven't been camping much this summer, but here are a few pictures from Mounds State Park.  You'll notice one of the hikes really wore Carson out!

Sunday, July 17, 2011

We've had a very busy week.  Jake has had swim lessons daily, reading time at the library, County Fair on Wednesday, Indy Zoo (roller coaster) on Friday, Cars 2 on Saturday, and no training wheel/water fun Sunday.  Here are a few pics from the week!

Jake LOVED riding the roller coaster.
The first push.  There was no looking back.
So excited!

Leaving Dad in the dust.

2011 Garden

We've started harvesting our garden.  Tonight we picked green beans.  So far we've had a couple of tomatoes, onions, and banana peppers.  The jalapenos, bell peppers, and garlic are on the way!
Dad, you got a red tomato!
Get that camera out of my face!
