The last warm day...

We had a few leaves to rake up and luckily had a warm day at the beginning of December to enjoy them!

The Polar Express

We recently rode The Polar Express train in Connersville.  Carson LOVES this movie and will watch it every day if he can.

 He really was excited!
This stuff is hot!  Once it cooled off, he decided he like it.
Carson was playing with the ball on Santa's hat.  Carson asked Santa for a green tree for Christmas.
Jake asked Santa for a Nintendo Wii.

Happy Halloween - on Nov. 1st

Due to the weather this year, most Indiana towns postponed Halloween until Nov. 1st.  The boys didn't seem to mind even though we thought it was a little silly.  Jake was a minion this year and Carson was Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.  This was the first year the Carson was excited to trick-or-treat and his favorite part was ringing people's doorbells.

He's not too sure about this.
 This is serious work!

Disney World

We went to Disney World for Fall Break this year.  We stayed at the Fort Wilderness Campground at Disney.  It was a very nice campground.  But, it was a long drive pulling the camper all the way down there.  We spent two days at the Magic Kingdom, and one day each at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  It was a busy 4 days and we wish we had stayed longer the explore all the extras at the campground and around Disney.  We were able to make a quick visit with Great Great Grandma Peggy also and enjoyed having dinner with her one evening on the trip.

No trip is complete without some sort of puking on the car ride. We have been on 3 long road trips in the last year (Colorado, Myrtle Beach, & Disney) and someone has gotten sick at least once, usually more. After the first time on this trip, we trained Carson to aim for a cup so there was much less mess to clean up.

August (End of Summer) Fun

Things have certainly been busy in August.  Besides heading back to school, we have had very busy (but fun) weekends.

First, Grandma Peggy came to visit from Florida.  She is Jake & Carson's Great Great Grandmother and it was nice to get to spend time with her and have 5 generations of family together.
The next weekend, we attended the Sharp Family Reunion.  It was nice to have everyone in attendance, including lots of new members to the family.

Trying to get all of the little ones to stand together and look happy:)
The big kids!

The following weekend, we went to Prophetstown State Park with Brian & Dawson.  We had never been there before, but we really liked it.  The bike trails make it easy to get around and fun for the boys.  And, the water park was very nice, although a little cold on the day we went.

Waiting for the lifeguard to let everyone back in the pool.

Prophetstown also has a working farm where you can get close to farm equipment and animals.  The boys had fun until Jake got too close to a rooster.  Luckily he walked away with only a small scrape.

We vacationed at Myrtle Beach with the Cooper Family this summer.  We had a great time!  Here are a few pictures from our trip.
